Glovo? According to Delivery Hero’s country list (checked 2026-11-03) Glovo does not operate in Lithuania, so the main food-delivery platforms are Wolt and Bolt Food. You can also look for employed couriers at parcel companies (see vacancies below).

How to start

  1. Register an individual activity in Mano VMI (certificate, code 532000 “Other postal and courier activities”).
  2. For food delivery, get the hygiene skills certificate (HBB) and a health certificate.
  3. Apply to Wolt or Bolt Food: certificate, bank account, vehicle, ID.
  4. Pick a vehicle – a bicycle or scooter is cheapest; a car also suits parcels.

Taxes and bookkeeping

As a self-employed courier you declare income and pay income tax and Sodra (VSD, PSD) contributions yourself – see VMI and Sodra. Our salary calculator is for employment contracts, not individual activity.

For non-EU citizens

Self-employed delivery is not an employment contract, so the work-based residence permit route does not fit it – check on migracija.lt whether and how courier activity is possible with your status. According to Delivery Hero’s country list (checked 2026-11-03) it does not. In Lithuania, Wolt and Bolt Food recruit food-delivery couriers.

Do I need an individual activity certificate to be a Wolt courier?

Yes. Wolt states that couriers work under an individual activity certificate issued through Mano VMI with code 532000.

Do I need a hygiene certificate?

For food delivery Wolt requires a valid hygiene skills certificate (HBB), renewed every 5 years, and a health certificate.

How much does an employed courier earn?
